    Event Venue Information

    The Katherine Cornell Theatre (KCT) is part of the Ellicott Complex on the North Campus of the University at Buffalo.

    Park in the Fargo Lot and walk into the Fargo Front Entrance, which is called "The Landing." Pass through the lobby and reception area and take the corridor to the right of the multi-level recreation area. Follow the signs to the "Academic Center" until you reach the KCT, straight ahead.

    Directions to Katharine Cornell Theatre

    Get directions from wherever you live to the KCT with Google Maps using either the Latitude/Longitude of 43.006405, -78.787122 or 85 Hamilton Rd, Amherst, NY 14228 as the physical address for the Fargo parking lot. (KCT is located within Fargo Hall in the Ellicott Dormitory Complex at UB North Campus.) Or use the directions below.

    From the I-90 E: 
    1. Take exit 50 to the I-290 W toward Niagara Falls. 
    2. From the I-290 W, take exit 4 for I-990 N toward Lockport.
    3. From I-990 N take Exit 1 to merge onto John James Audubon Parkway. 
    4. Merge onto John James Audubon Parkway and take a sharp left (U-turn) to stay on John James Audubon Parkway.
    5. Take a slight left towards the Hamilton Road / Hamilton Entrance to UB Ellicott Complex.
    6. Turn left at first cross street onto Hamilton Road. (You will pass Letchworth Woods on the left.)
    7. Turn right to park in the Fargo Parking Lot, per map. Latitude/Longitude: 43.006405, -78.787122
    8. You may also park in the smaller Gane Terrace Lot. 
    9. Parking is free after 3 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends. 

    From the I-190 North and from I-290 E:
    1. If coming via I-190 N, take exit 16 for I-290 E.
    2. Take I-290 E to take exit 4 for I-990 N toward Lockport.
    3. From here follow the directions from above beginning with number 3.

    From the parking lot:
    1. Walk down Lee Road (see map), passing Greiner Residential Hall on your right.
    2. Enter Fargo Residential Hall at the entrance labeled "The Landing."
    3. Pass through the lobby and reception area and take the corridor to the right of the multi-level recreation area.
    4. Follow the signs to the "Academic Center" until you reach the Katharine Cornell Theatre, straight ahead.

    We are delighted to offer in-person and virtual course offerings for the spring!

    If you are not a continuing student, please contact the instructor prior to registering. Links are below. 


    New students who have never taken a French course with AFB are required to take one of the two placement tests (links below). Take a screenshot of the results, and email them to the corresponding instructor. Placement level will be confirmed with a short phone interview to ensure you are appropriately placed.

    Join us for one or two weeks of our Children's French and Art Summer Program! Registration is open for children aged 4 to 10 to learn and practice French through fun activities centered around the Arts.

    Children will need to bring/wear the following every day: sneakers, art smock, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, lunch in a cooler with ice pack, and a snack.

    Cost per week for Members:

    FULL DAY $160 1st child / $144 each additional sibling

    HALF DAY $96 1st child / $86 each additional sibling

    Not a member? The cost for two children without membership is $352 per program. Family membership is only $50/year, which brings the cost for family membership + two children to $354 for each program. That’s like getting a family membership to the Alliance Française of Buffalo for only $2! Click here to become a member.
