Bienvenue à la nouvelle bibliothèque de l'Alliance Française de Buffalo!

Many members have indicated an interest in borrowing or sharing French reading materials while others indicated that they had materials they wished to donate or loan to the Alliance. The new president, Patricia Schiavone, is responding to both of these concerns by offering an electronically managed library, initially stocked with her own private collection, and enriched by donations already received from members and non-members. To allow the library to expand, additional donations of books, magazines, films are encouraged and most welcome at any time!

Borrowing privileges are restricted to Alliance Française members only. The library does not have a home however, so in order to borrow an item, contact Patricia at panoramabf@msn.com or call at 716 895-0415, to receive or return library item(s) at Canisius College.

The library collection includes

• Books in French
  Novels, short stories, poetry, essays, history books, written in French or translated to French. The books are rated according to the level of difficulty of the language.
  
  
• English Translations
  French books, novels, short stories, poetry, essays, history books, written in French, and translated to English.
  
  
• Children Books
  Children books in French, rated according to age appropriateness.
  
  
• Comic Books
  Comic books or Bandes Dessinées in French for children and adults.
  
  
• Books about France
  Books about France, its history, its politics, its literature, and its people (in English!)
  
  
• Films (French and Foreign)
