Bienvenue! Welcome!

Welcome to the Alliance Française de Buffalo and to Western New York. Buffalo, the second largest city in New York State, hosts the Niagara Falls - often touted as the eighth natural wonder of the world, in its own backyard; and is a short two-hour drive from cosmopolitan Toronto.

Buffalo's rich history, which dates back to the 18th century, includes a French presence, dating back to the same century. However, it is only during the 19th and 20th centuries that substantial numbers of French immigrants began arriving in our region and establishing commercial, religious, and cultural institutions.

Today, the Alliance Française de Buffalo appeals to both a French community longing to stay connected to its French culture and heritage and to individuals wishing to learn the French language and experience French culture.
