Every year the Alliance Francaise de Buffalo sends a letter in April to the principal of the high schools in the eight counties of Western New York asking that the head French teacher in the school nominates the best student in that school that year.
The teacher sends the name of the student back to the Alliance. The Alliance sends the teacher a letter of congratulations, the certificate of merit along with a one year honorary membership to the organization, which includes the bi-monthly bilingual newsletter of the organization Les Nouvelles de l'Alliance to be given to the student.
If you teach French in a High School and have not received our invitation, please inquire with your principal, or fill out the High School Merit Certificates Submission Form, and mail it.
